Hello Shoe People! For the 3rd year running I will be participating in the 24 Hour Blogathon for charity on July 26th starting at 6 a.m. I hope you will sponsor me as I stay awake for 24 hours straight, posting to my website (Musings section) every thirty minutes, and getting hopped up on caffeine. I'm blogging for the Global Fund For Women again, a noble cause that supports women's human rights organizations around the world.
As usual I'll be posting my "Shoe of the Hour" every hour on the half hour. This year to change it up a little they'll all be my own shoes, on my own feet, pictures taken during the blogathon. Newport News
I'm not sure I ever noticed the shoes at Newport News particularly. How could I have missed these? Not the "ballet shoes" I've featured in the past (thank goodness) but rather very sleek and more suited to different kinds of dancing shoes. I suppose it's the satiny sheen and the ankle wrap that gives these their name. And those aspects are definitely what makes them special, as well. Also they've got a great serious heel. Unusual, sexy and certainly interesting - is that a cylindrical heel?! Freud would have had a veritable fielday explaining this shoe!
