Those shoes are sooooo hot. What's the damage?(Price) as well as what is the largest size? You know what?they would go absolutely perfect with a bamboo handle bag I saw recently . What is the name of this shoe?
Posted by: AmazonMami on May 1, 2003 07:46 PMI had the perfect little black handbag to match those. I gave it to a friend of mine, but those would be the shoes for it. It's handle was bamboo. It was vintage from "occupied Japan", circa 1953 or so...
I keep meaning to send you photos of some of my shoes, but I just haven't found the time to do it yet.... soon, I promise!
Keep on posting those fabulous shoes! :)

Yes I saw the TK Maxx ones too, but the heels were thinner, darker, and altogether not as convincing an illusion of bamboo, the lady I was with didn't rate them too well either. These look like the real thing and would go well with a sarong and a gardenia in the hair.......woa! - that's a sexy image I've just conjured up; she's got a Master's too! (no that's neither incongruous nor unusual in the UK - widening University participation has caused the frumps to be outnumbered on campus!)...mmm.. my mind is starting to build her personality, and all this from a pair of shoes!
Mike
PS - In the pre-feminist past it was 'de rigueur' for a woman to wear high heeled shoes and thus they were not reliable indicators of personality; now that women have real choices, perhaps they do act as a window to some component of their inner self?
