Sigerson Morrison

Apparently these are very hot right now. People are clamboring for them. They're cute, I have to say. And this new trend of adding heels to otherwise unsexy shoes is very interesting. I like the kitten heel--not too tall for something as casual as a flip flop. And the single color of the entire shoe, from heel to thong, is pretty cool. I'd wear them with a swimsuit and dark glasses by the pool, drinking a cocktail.

I must disagree with you on these...they are the dumbest trend yet. Putting heels on sneakers, okay. But uncomfortable spike heels on the one irreproachably comfortable form of footwear -- heresy. And, yes, I am sure they are going to fly off the shelves. No doubt about it. But they will not make it onto my feet. I will wear my Blahniks etc to be glam, and I will wear my perfecty innocuous flip flops to be comfortable. Never the twain shall meet.

In the UK, TK maxx have been selling something similar, with just such a bamboo effect heel.

Where would you even buy a shoe like this?

Where can I find the Sigerson Morrison flip-flops?

HOW MUCH AND WHERE CAN I BUY THEM

To Jessica at the top of these comments.

Come on girl lighten up, they can't be that difficult to wear they must only be about 1.5 inch! If you're used to wearing Monalo Blahniks for more than an hour or so you'll probably find totally flat shoes uncomfortable anyway.

I would have thought that the effect on all that male testosterone of the proper little stiletto based clicking heels, heralding your approach at the poolside, was well worth it for not much effort!

To Alyssa, - respect! - you understand sex-appeal!

Check out the Steve Madden ones like this w/the 4" heel. If you like noise and sex appeal you can't beat those!
Why don't they make cool shoes like this for men?

Posted by: Daryl on May 23, 2003 08:21 AM

To Daryl,

They do make cool shoes like this for men; but it's the ladies who wear them for us!

Unless you're a "tranny" of course.....in which case these same shoes will undoubtedly suffice.

Mike

PS for any feminists:- yes I know that women wear them for themselves, but you still have to ask "why?". Any heterosexual (the vast majority), man or woman, even feminists ones (if they are honest with themselves), bask in the sunshine of the admiration of the opposite sex; it's how we get to (eventually) fulfil our sex drive!

Hey hey... I'm a guy that lives in the Bay Area and has been wearing womens heeled sandals for years. I love the look of womens shoes, men's styles are so ugly!
I have a pair of thongs very similar to these with a 1 1/2 inch heel, wear then all the time in the summer!!
Why should the gals have all the fun???
