Dragonfly Not your grandmother's

Dragonfly

Not your grandmother's pilgrim shoe. Add a platform, some heel, some non-puritan attitude and you're all set. I would wear these with a black and white dress--above the knee with a little cleavage. Gotta show some pilgrim progress.

Incidentally, the pilgrims used to put shoes in their walls to ward off evil spirits. Seems a waste of good shoes, but that's just me.

These are schoolgirl shoes in the UK. Despite the height they are worn day in day out at school, - even in schoolyard games (hopscotch, skipping, tag, informal football, etc.). Girls as young as nine to eighteen wear shoes like this! Many schools have tried banning them. They have been used aggressively in fights and bullying, - and many boys have been kicked "between the legs" for 'fun' by girls acting alone and sometimes in giggling groups. There are even sizes aimed at six and seven year olds for weekends!
