I have to add one more Blogathon thank you to a sponsorship that I found when I arrived at work this morning. I've been out of work for a week and a half due to my sprained ankle and then moving to my new apartment. So I found this check too late for him to be included on the sponsor list for the Blogathon but I'm still going to send the check in and Planned Parenthood will still reap the benefits. So I just want to say thank you to John Paul for his sponsorship. Thanks so much.

I just wanted to post a little something, even though the Blogathon is over and I should be sickened by looking at my site for one more second. But I just wanted to say, now that I'm reasonably rejuvenated by sleep and my brain seems to be working more or less, that the Blogathon was a really good time for a really good cause. I hope everyone will consider doing this again next year. My friend Kelly says he will do it himself next year, which means I have a position open for a friend willing to spend hours at a time listening to me type while he builds shelves. Planned Parenthood will receive around $200 from my sponsors, which I think is really wonderful.
I went to bed finally around 1:30 after Kelly left, I scarfed down a salad, and I spent a little time winding down, reading my fellow bloggers' blogs. Lots of odes to their beds there at the end. I took a picture of myself right before heading to bed, heavily lidded eyes and all, that I will post when I get my camera installed. I got up around 8 p.m. when the sunset's golden light (bit poetic, sorry) came through the little tiny window in my closet/office room and filled my bedroom. I wanted to take a look at the ocean in the sunset.
Now I find myself fading again. I need to go through a box or two and find my music for my singing class tomorrow then I'm running back to bed. My blogs will go back to a somewhat normal pace after today, but as I have a computer of my own at home now they may come a bit more often. But probably not every 30 minutes again until next year. Thanks all for your support and I hope you had nearly as good a time as I did.

Well, this is probably my last blog so I feel like I should be profound. I'm not sure I can manage it, though. Kelly just told me that the kitchen cabinet is up! Yay! I'm so glad it got up in time for the end of the thon. There's a certain symetry there. I just looked, it's fabulous and feels really solid. Yayayayayayay! Alyssa is happy now. Kelly rocks. The kitchen rocks. My apartment rocks. The Blogathon rocks. I'm really impressed with everyone who made it through to the end. You all are wonderful. And I'm pretty proud of myself for getting here, too, but as I told my dad, we have a stubborn streak in this family. If we say we're going to do something, we do it.

So in the last 24 hours I've gone through 2 packets of sushi, some soy chorizo and potato taquitos, some grapes, a banana, 5 Diet Pepsis, a little lychee ice cream, a shower, 5 boxes, 7 movies, 3 CDs, two short naps, two visits, 5 phone calls, 2 visits out into the world, and a slurpay. And now it's over. Boy that was fun! Thanks Cat for putting it all together and thanks to everyone who participated and helped those who participated to keep going. We love you all! Goodnight!

I want to take a minute to thank all my lovely sponsors. They're all people I work with or family so I have thanked them personally already, but I want to post their names and just say what a good thing you all have done. There's Mom and Dad--thanks for supporting your kid. There's my Grandfather who surprised me greatly when he sent me a check written out to Planned Parenthood. There's Lillie, Teresa, Peter, and Julie from work. Lillie and Julie both sponsored me for the AIDS Walk as well so an extra special thank you to both of them. Then there's Shirley, who I used to work with and who signed herself up without ever mentioning it to me. That was an extra special treat when I looked at my sponsor list and saw her name there. Thank you all so much. I couldn't have done this without you--literally. I love you all.

My celebrity match is Dylan McDermott. Not bad, I say. Who's yours? Emode Now if I can just get him to leave his wife...
Kelly's here now and working on the kitchen cabinet again. One I find my digicam software and all that, I will take a picture so everyone will know what I've been talking about all this time. Kelly's very perky and sipping another watermelon slurpay from 7-11. We love Kelly. Let's just take another moment and think about how great Kelly is. Sigh. Anyway, I seem to be having the tiredness equivalent of moodswings. One moment I'm wired and thinking I'll never sleep again then the next I'm bleary-eyed and thinking about sinking down in my chair. I think I need to listen to the Weeeeeee! squirrel song again. I think Kelly needs to listen to it too.

Shoe of the Hour

Stuart Weitzman

For my last Shoe of the Hour I present another of my favorite clear shoes. This one is especially fabulous because it thinks it's just like any other gorgeous sandal with an ankle strap but it's see-through. How great is that? Clear lucite sole and heel, which looks like a prism, are just a little bit nicer, cooler, sleeker than plastic. And I like the silver touches on the sole and the buckle. Beautiful, beautiful. Wear with a silver dress if you can find one and look like Cinderella from Venus...it's a good thing, trust me.

Yay! We have weeeeeeeee! The speakers work, tho they're not very loud. But better than nothing, which is what I had before.
My celebrity look is Sultry Look--like Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Not a bad thing, but I look nothing like any of them. Still, not a bad thing. What's your celebrity look? Emode

I'm feeling pretty good, believe it or not. I will soon find out if my cheapo speakers work on my computer as the squirrel is loading. Kelly's on his way over to hang the cabinet. I'm dressed like a normal person again (not in my nightgown) and my hair is somewhat dry. Dad's at brunch with the rest of the fam so I don't have him to chat with anymore. And there's just over an hour left to go on the thon. It'll be a little while longer before I can pass out, but it will come soon enough. I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone and I've tried to put at least a little style and a little substance into each of my blogs. I hope you think so too. Anyway, it ain't over yet so don't go away.

One final gimmick for the last 1 1/2 hours (yay) of the thon. I will try to post as many times as possible, within reason. Probably just an extra couple. It will depend on whether I have anything to say. I'm contemplating whether these little speakers that came with my cheapo walkman will work as speakers for my computer. Any votes? I have no idea where my computer speakers are and I'm dying to see the weeeeeeeeeeeeeee squirrel again. Did anyone go look at him? Doesn't everyone just love him? You should. I'll let you know about the speakers.
I'm watching Cousins again, now that there are no good cartoons on again. They're running off together on his motorcycle right now. Very romantic.

Shoe of the Hour

Gucci

I started to drool when I saw these babies. These are shoes I just want to stare at but never to wear. With that gorgeous stiletto and super-pointy toes wearing them would be exquisite pain. Lovely cut
