Get Bombed
"The Bombshell Manual of Style" by
Laren Stover. It's not as great as "Bad Girl's Guide" (see
last recommendations) but it's clever. It's got some very smart observations
and recommendations for the girl hoping to bombshell her way through
life. You'll find bombshell quotes ("I am not difficult. I am
definite."--Hedy Lamarr), Things Bombshells Get Away With Ordinary
Women Can't ("Having no domestic prowess--She doesn't mastermind
the home; she lounges in it. She beautifies in it. She orders in."),
Day to Day Bombshellism, the clothes and shoes to wear, the perfume
to choose, the way to answer a door, etc. etc. I aspire to being a
bombshell but I'm only a novice. I have some bombshell friends and
they are fabulous. They don't need to read this book, they are this
book. But I'll keep reading and working on it.
