I'm always talking about this height of boots being a cool look but it's hard to really tell the height until you see them on a person. It's not the best picture, but I really like the boots. I'd wear them with a cigarette skirt to the knees and a black turtleneck.

Sketchers

A woman in my singing class has these shoes. I love them. I need to get myself a pair. They're like sneakers but more feminine. They come in lots of colors but I think I like these with the pink the best. I would wear them with everything. She wore them with capris, a blue sweater and a striped scarf that matched the sweater. I see nothing wrong with that look. If only I was cute and asian I would try to be her twin.

BCBG Max Azria

These are cool. Like mary janes but with a twist. Cut off the back, swap the buckle with a button and voila. There's something incredibly stylish and professional about them while remaining playful and girly. I would wear them with a schoolgirl skirt and low-cut top. Red lipstick and braids.

Hype

There's something wonderfully delicate about these shoes. The wedge heel would seem to say otherwise, but look at the top and straps. It reminds me of a butterfly over the top of your foot. The t-strap is so thin it's like a string bikini for the foot. I would wear these with a slinky spaghetti strapped evening dress and chopsticks in my hair. Red lipstick.

Stuart Weitzman

These are art. Simple style, your basic wedge sandal. But the tortoiseshell is gorgeous. I would wear these with black Audrey Hepburn pencil pants and a black turtleneck. Pixie haircut optional.

This was the best pic I could get of these shoes on the N Judah yesterday morning on my way to work. They're very simple except for the cut-out wedge. Which of course is the reason for the shoe, the cut-out. The woman wearing these was clearly a true believer in style over comfort as she was wearing sandals bare-legged on one of the coldest days I remember in SF. I was cursing my short skirt despite black tights, loafers, and a warm coat, as the wind kept whipping in train doors. I appreciated her boldness, while being grateful it wasn't me. I would wear these with a white circle skirt and black twin set. In summer.

Nine West

The idea of wearing a slingback in this coldsnap we've been having is not very appealing. However, these slings are like boots with a draft in the back. A good compromise between winter necessarily warm and cozy and warm weather stylish. I especially like the brown ones. I'd wear them with an over-the-knee leather skirt and angora sweater.

Steve Madden

Could these be more 80's? Only in the 80's the zippers were on everything but our shoes. Wear these with an off-one-shoulder sweatshirt, pink mini-skirt, and two criss-crossed belts. Big hair and rubber bracelets optional.

Wicked Temptations

These are nice, sexy, simple mules. Great spiked heel, cool clear plastic top. And oh yeah, THEY GLOW IN THE DARK. What more do you need to know. Wear them with anything. After all, what doesn't go with GLOW IN THE DARK.

Jimmy Choo

The perfect New Year's shoes. Classic style, over the top rhinestones. Wear these with vintage rhinestone jewelry and a little black velvet dress.
